Hello everyone! Long have passed since the last time I update this page, many things happened in between and that is why I'm leaving this note from the author. So before I move forward, I would like to apologize to my readers and myself for that enormous pause of almost 3 years.
A little of background...
Back in 2020 when I finally published the first of my books in English, I was over excited! Full of joy an energy, I believed I could reach the stars and beyond! I opened my Instagram account to boost my online presence in order to reach more readers across the world, in almost two months I managed to get more than 2K followers and I thought the path I was following was the correct one! But it came out that, it wasn’t…
I’m leaving these notes here as a reminder for myself, as well as a testament to my efforts and my failures. What went wrong? Well multiple things.
For instance, it was the middle of the pandemic which represented higher challenges for life in general. At that moment little I knew that I was about to have a serious setback in my plans.
No pasaron más de dos meses de que publiqué el libro cuando perdí mi empleo de medio tiempo. Lo cual afectó considerablemente mis finanzas, me vi forzado a canalizar mis esfuerzos en metas más tangibles. Afortunadamente el universo no me dejaría a la deriva, puesto que ya no estaba solo. Ese fue uno de los factores que me permitió también hacer frente a la adversidad.
The night was long, too long but at the end the sun raised again.
Mostly due to financials problems I needed to leave behind the efforts and investments I was given to my new published book. My motivation got depleted, and the realization that the focus of my social media wasn’t the correct one either, complicated more the things.
I kept working in the shadows, at a slower pace, without much energy as before. Slowly, even hesitant I continued working on the translations, but with little to no time (nor money) for marketing. For these three years I looked back to that moment when I published my book in English realizing I wasn’t fully ready nor prepared to publish it. My book soon got lost in time and sank to the bottom.
It didn’t help me that my books in Spanish weren’t doing any better, without time nor money to invest in them, my books were the ones drifting aside in a dark sea…
After this time, I realized that it seems the only constant that I’ve been follow in my life (besides failure) is the perseverance. I know I cannot give up the fight, I want my books to live in the minds of the people. I want readers to live, laugh and cry with my stories! To dream with them!
Therefore, here I am, again, tired, older, but still trying to do my best to reach more audience.
Now after 3 years since I published the first translation, the book “The Ancient Relics”, now I have finally finished the second part in English which I will be available for sale in the coming months. So like a famous phrase of a video game… Here we go again…
